The forcings used for the forecast are the persistence of the sea current velocity, in its u and v components, and the average wind speed and direction calculated over the previous six hours. The model generates a forecast output with a six-hour time horizon. Every hour, new current and wind data are acquired, thus updating the forecast hour by hour for the next six hours.
