Virtual particles were released in the coastal circulation field to represent the transport and spreading of these organisms under typical seasonal current conditions. The resulting trajectories highlight how coastal currents can rapidly redistribute biological material along the Portofino coastline, illustrating the potential spatial extent and coastal impact of gelatinous blooms during summer. |
